Power Supplies

Mains to DC, in 5V, 12V, 24V and 48V, from 1 amp up to 83.

These are enclosed switch mode supplies. Mains goes in on screw terminals at one end and DC comes out the other, so they are made to be mounted in a cabinet or on a panel and wired in, not plugged into a wall socket. Every one except the 5V 40A has an adjustable output on a trim pot, so you can set it where your gear actually wants it rather than living with whatever it left the factory at.

Size it by the current your load draws, not by what the label on the gear says it can draw. Add up the amps of everything running at once and leave yourself headroom, because a supply held flat out all day runs hot and does not last as long as one that is not.

If you have a choice of supply voltage and the run is any distance, go higher. A 24V 10A does the same work as a 12V 20A at half the current, on lighter cable and with half the volt drop.

The mains side needs connecting by someone competent to do it. If that is not you, get an electrician.
